Limbo

It is now 15 days since we heard about Meg.

It has not got any easier.

But, life has gone on.

Jools and I have both gone to work, doing what we needed to, and feeling guilty in the evening that we have just got on with things.

But that's what we do.

We are in limbo between finding out and the funeral. Sometimes we feel it hard, sometimes it feels it was all a bad dream.

Meg's bother, George, has returned home from Cambodia where he has been running a bar. He is as stunned as any of us. He called Jools for the first time since coming back, and, and there are no words. No words at all that can describe the feelings we all have.

He has a job starting on Monday, not that he needs it, but sitting round the house with his Mother is driving him mad, just doing nothing. So, he is going labouring on a building site.

And we have the date for the funeral now. February 28th.

Closure.

And when reality kicks in.

Then the healing will begin.
