Getting some in: part 7

Dateline:11th January 1991, AWM 218, RAF Cosford.

Dear Mum and Dad,

Sorry I have not written, but it has been the most important week of the course so far, we had our end of phase exam, which I got 79%, second in the class, and for the last three days we have been doing our Final Test Job (FTJ) in basic engineering, which has been very tough. I finished at 11 this morning, though I won't know the result until the middle of next week.

Its been pouring with rain most days, we have all be quite miserable what with the weather and pressure of work. We get soaked marching to and from the airfield each day. Most have taken consolation in beer or spirits.

Where's three ghetto-blasters in our room, and it has been very noisy at times.

We watched Midnight Run on video last night, and then to the Cavalier Club to play snooker.

We are going to Wolverhampton again in the morning for some shopping/drinking, then for the evening we will get some can in and watch more videos.

Thanks for a great Christmas, it really good and relaxing, gve my regards to Courtney and that she enjoys her last few days in Lowestoft(!).

I can't think of much more to write for now,

See you soon,

Ian
