Sunday 9th February 2020

I am on a road trip to that Wales tomorrow, so will write about today, er, today.

Not much to report as it has been a quiet day, quiet in that we haven't done much, due to storm Caira blowing through. This was the biggest storm to pass over the country in seven years, and as I write has left a train of flooding and destruction in her wake.

Forty We had gusts up to 80mph here, and travel was too risky to go out to be honest, and thanks to webcams, was able to see if the seas were stormy enough in Dover or Deal to go out. They weren't, so we stayed home with the cats and listened to the radio, drank lots of coffee and watched the storm all day.

It is now getting dark, and the wind has dropped a little, but not much, and we are expecting heavy rain for the next hour or so.

The football this afternoon was postponed, a wise decision I think, as travel was fraught and dangerous over most of the country. There have been no ferries out of Dover all day.

And there was only two games on MOTD this morning, so skipped that to do some phy before making bacon butties for our breakfast.

The wind continued to blow.

We had the last of the mince pies for elevenses with another coffee.

The wind still blew.

The game at Millwall was still on, so I watched that, but was very poor. I just about stayed awake, as we had eaten chorizo hash with pink fizz before kick off, my eyes were very heavy.

Anyway, here we are. Still. In the house, packing to be done, and the weekend would have flashed by again.
