Apparently unfinished

Yesterday's headline in the Ecxpress, I think, was something to the effect that Johnson wants whoever becomes next leader to "finish Brexit".

I thought the claim was that Brexit got done.

By him.

It is quite the admission.

Johnson is still Prime Minister, and will be maybe until September. And so yesterday he skipped another COBRA emergency meeting so he could have a party at Chequers, the large country house he has on grace and favour from us, the people.

It seems that no situation is so serious that a part should not be arranged by Johnson.

The meeting was to discuss the extreme heat in the UK on Monday and Tuesday, but no senior Minister apparently attended, not even the Health Secretary.

They are involved in a Battle Royale to see who follows Johnson as leader, and the shit they are saying about each other is amazing. But nothing about Brexit, COVID, cost of living crisis, global warming or where the money is coming from for tax cuts.
