Scrutiny and trust

At the end of the lastest TV debate, Truss turned to Rishi and asked, "why are we doing this?"

So, it comes as no surprise to find the last of the debates has been cancelled.

Most of the candidates have served in Johnson's Cabinet for three years, and were apparently happy with the policies, otherwuse being people of principle I 'm sure they would have resigned.

They were all asked if they would have Johnson serve in their Cabinet if elected none said they would.

The debates are all about us understanding them as people, and what their priorities are, so we can trust them to do the right thing.

We have seen they're all shit, but some more shit than others.

Odd that Truss is seen as the holder of the true flame of Brexit despite campaining for Remain and once being a member of the LibDems, where she argued for the abolishment of the Monarchy.

Very Conservative.

There is hope the last two standing will have debates over the summer, but for now we are left with such gems as:

"I will tackle the cost of living crisis by tackling the economy".

No actual details.

No actual policies.

Just unresearched statements on uncosted tax cuts and backing the transportation of people to Rwanda.

Odd that Johnson was forced to resign not because of policies, but because of character, and those in the race to follow him are just as happy as he was to lie to get there. Replacing one liar with another, is not the step the country needs right now
