Into the 9th circle of Brexit hell

Not sure how many ways there are to formally notify the EU that te UK would not be seeking an extension, but today it seems Gove had a meeting with his EU political counterpart and "formally" confirmed, again, the UK would not be seeking an extension.

All my legion posts about the levels of lack or preparedness notwithstanding, no amount of believing in Brexit is going to make any border, with with the EU or to NI work.

The latest plan to take back control is not to take back control and not apply all customs checks on incoming goods.

This is a unilateral move, the UK will get nothing back from the EU, goods to the EU will be subject to full checks of goods and documentation, and if truck drivers and road hauliers think there is a chance their trucks will be stuck in long queues getting to Dover, they might not come over at all.

I won't go over how insane this is, and how it goes against what, checks notes, Michael Gove said in the referendum about how mad a no deal Brexit would be.

Reality and Brexit are about to collide, there will be turbulence. There will be lies.

And we will all be poorer. A lot poorer. Except the Brexit backers, of course.
