To prove the point, Monday was wet and windy all day, pretty much. It might not have poured, but the rain fell steadily until just before Jools came home.
It was cold, dark and breezy, so much so it was dark enough to have the table lamp on to work under, and not really worth going out to photograph anything.
I hung on, hoping the weather would improve, but it didn't really.

Henrik and Rune are still off on their summer holibobs, so no one else to talk to to be honest, so time weighed heavy.
A ray of sunshine though was that I booked our flights to Iceland for the end of January, using my saved frequent user points to part pay the bill, so that return flights for us both and a week's hire car was just £190. We have booked hotels and other stuff with another company, so all we need now is for the skies to be clear at least one night so we can see the Northern Lights.
So that's something new to look forward to.
Dinner was yet more Caprese and the last of the weekend bread, light, flavoursome and washed down with some special wine.
And that was it for the last day of July.
