Democracy is now undemocratic

May today announced it would be a betrayal of the referendum if there was to be a second one.

A referendum can either be democratic or definitive, but not both.

A cornerstone of democracy is the ability of the country to change its mind. That is being denied.

And as I asked before, what is May and her Government afraid of?

Elsewhere, Liam Fox said it would not be his of the Governments fault if the UK crashed out of the EU without a deal; shl whose fault would that be then? Surely, Brexiteers who spend their whole careers trying to get to this point only literally not to have a clue, or for a PM to allow the A50 notification without a plan.

The EU today announced again it would not allow UK to cherrypick what parts of EU rules the UK could and could not follow. Thus killing May's Chequers plan, although May has said it is her last and final off. Cross her heart and hope to die.

Or something.

I wish I could say something positive, but as you know clock is ticking, and without UK accepting the backstop on the Irish Border, or coming up with a viable alternative, there will be no WA. And no Transition Agreement either.

September is when reality and Brexit will move even closer, and as we enter October, reality will destroy Brexit and May with it. There is the chance the Brexiteers will force a no deal, then we're all fucked.
