Confused? Don't be (update)

So, this morning,, the Government sent out their best man to go on many news shows on TV and radio to clarify the PM's statement.

Their best man was, apparently, the towering intellect that is Dominic Raab.

If there was any discussion or Scrutiny of the PM's speech, the the "designated survivor" Raab should have been once of them.

If was nothing, if not consistent, to give a different interpretation on the PM's speech in some areas.

Number 10 then put of a clarification of Raab's clarification, to be further clarified when the 50 or 60 page clarification document is released maybe later today.

One of the major issues was that the PM said people who go back to work, should do so on Monday. In like 12 hours time.

There has been no briefing for this, not of any potential employers to make sure they were ready for workers returning the next day. This morning Raab said when the PM said tomorrow (Monday) he, of course, meant Wednesday.

The other Monday.

To further clarify what "stay alert" means, the PM's Twitter feed said this in the last half hour:

"Stay alert by staying at home as much as possible.

Stay alert by working from home if you can.

Stay alert by limiting contact with other people.

Stay alert by keeping your distance if you go out (2 metres apart where possible).

Stay alert by washing your hands regularly.

If you or anyone in your household has symptoms, you all need to self-isolate.

We can control the virus by keeping the rate of infection (R) and the number of infections down.

This is how we can continue to save lives and livelihoods as we start to recover from coronavirus.

Stay alert, control the virus, save lives. "

One of the internet definitions of alert is: "the state of being watchful for possible danger."

The virus is invisible.

If we travel to work we cannot social distance on public transport.

Use the car said the PM.

Into London?

What if you have no car?

This morning Tube trains were packed by people returning to work, unable to social distance. I guess we will find out in two to six weeks whether this was sensible or insane.
