When WILL they learn

Screamed the front page of the Daily Hate Mail, comparing the fact that some EU countries are sending their children to school, whilst UK teachers and their union's want more evidence.

Clearly the Daily Mail also didn't get the memo about not comparing the UK with other countries.

But the point the Mail missed was that other countries have the virus and the R rate under control, there is little evidence that the UK has. Most countries put the safety of their children first, not use them as a biological weapon delivery system.

My colleagues are all Danes, and there is the feeling that the virus was contained so well, that their Government over reacted. Many communities in Jutland had no or few cases. Pubs even opened yesterday, a week after hairdressers opened. Life is returning to (socially distancing) normality.

Instead of having a plan and an army of testers, tracers ready to mobilise once the lockdown was eased, the UK Government is still recruiting, and such a network might be up and running by the beginning of June. Or it might not. The mobile phone ap isn't working as it should, and people are getting wary.

The PM has not been seen since PMQs last Wednesday. Johnson likes to compare himself with Churchill, but during the war only one leader retreated to his bunker.

Just saying.

Meanwhile back in Brexitlalaland, the Home Secretary triumphantly Tweeted that she had removed a fundamental right from 67 million UK citizens, like it was a good thing. UK citizens now have less rights than their EU neighbours living next door, and they have the right to vote in UK elections. Johnson thanked the foreign born NHS staff that helped save his life, now they will both have to pay £624 each year to continue to work in the UK.

How's that for thanks?

UK farmers today ramped up their appeal for people to help with the harvest this year as their is a huge shortage of EU staff, with Brexit and COVID. I am sure all Brexit, UKIP and Conservative Party members will help their farmer friends out and go to pick strawberries for minimum wage.

The UK has finally released their negotiating position, more of that tomorrow, but many of the articles they want don't stand a chance. THis might have been useful three years ago, but six weeks before the end of June and the point of no return, is just pathetic. Like the Johnson Government and his Ministers and its policies.

We deserve every fucking dreadful thing we have got coming, we voted for this shit show, now we have to deal with it. There is no alternative, its going to happen, and we might be well eating grass to survive by this time next year.
