I like traffic lights

I have tried hard to be fair with the Government, as they fight a global pandemic, but they have made such a hash of most of it, and in the rest have enriched their friends and party doners.

Mere words cannot descibe the levels of contempt and hate I have for Johnson and co.

And yet, today, with Johnson to make a big statement out the lockdown levels across the country, I kept my powder dry.

And so it came to pass that, the Government does not understand how areas of the north are actuall grouped, with a Zoom meeting called for Liverpool area MPs, there was great confusion as Warrington's MP was included, Wigan's not, and other received their invitation on minutes before the call was due to start, and most were travelling to London still to be there for the debate. Other received invites 15 minutes after the meeting had begun.

So, chaos is at the heart of everything they do, unless it is giving their mates contracts measured in millions to their friends. It is estimated that £3,000,000,000, three billion quid has been given with no tender process or scrutiny having taken place.

Meanwhile, the map showing the current infection levels had it's key changed, lest most of the north, midlands and London would be red on the update. You can prove anything with statistics, apparently.

And the announcement had been leaked so much, not much came as a surprise, other that the north was hit the hardest, and the traffic lights are amber, red and very red. Not like any traffic lights I know. But no green.

It is easy to forgert, then, that just six weeks ago the same Government was threatening people with the sack if they did not go back to work, and yet the only people not surprised as to where we are now, is the Prime Minister and his Ministers.

So it goes, so it goes.

Stay safe.

Protect those that you love.
