The new denial

This morning, the Daily Hate Mail ran a headline feature, under another of their regular attack lines on younger royals, with time William and Kate.

But I digress.

Again.

Underneath, in banner headlines is:

"World's top scientists rage against lockdown".

This just isn't true.

Some might be, maybe a tiny fraction, but most public health and virologists would say there is no difference of opinion. There can be no herd immunity, not without all who fall into high risk groups being isolated indefinitely. And then there is the issue of "long COVID", where people just are not recovering, to take into account.

The same people who are pushing for a return to work to save the economy are the same ones demanding that any cost is worth paying for the hardest Brexit possible.

Meanwhile Johnson has been destroyed again in PMQs, as Starmer uses simple facts to question the PM, and the PM explodes as to why the Leader of the Opposition does not support the Government. I am guessing here, Boris, the clue is in his job title.

Meanwhile it is unclear whether current infiection figures for all parts of the country are accurate as testing capacity had been reached several weeks ago, and still not fixed.

And it has been claimed that lockdowns will not be imposed on Conservative voting, richer parts of the south. Anything is possible.
