Another car crash coming

Earlier this week, the PM and Health Secretary both confirmed unlocking of the economy next Monday.

This was after the scenes in and around Wembley and in central London, where are appealing to Great British Common Sense, it was noted one chap had inserted a lit firework into his rectum.

Common Sense. Not very common, is it. I seem to remember saying lat last May 31st too.

And then came yesterday, the daily COVID figures, which showed the UK having the highest daily infections, IN THE WHOLE WORLD.

World beating at something, Ma!

Yes, 42,302 positive tests, and there are so many being pinged by the track and trace app, some companies are reporting 30% of their staff is off. The UK Government's reaction? turn the sensitivity down on the app so not so many people get pinged.

Two weeks ago, the Netherlands unlocked fully, and had to reverse that this week as cases rocketed. How long before the UK has to do the same, or will just stop publishing the figures?

A leak this morning reveals that because Johnson could not carry all his party in a vote in the Commons regarding the ontinuation of restrictions and mitigations, instead of replying on the Labour benches for support, the decision was made to give up, so "Boris didn't look bad!"

We are so fucked.

And of course, as cases spiral out of control here, more contries will place the UK on their amber and red lists, making what travel there currently is, impossible.

Cause and effect in action there.
