Pingdemic crisis

About half a million people in the UK are currently isolating because of being informed they had come close to someone either who had COVID or is suspected of having it.

There are two reasons for this:

1. That the sensitivity in the app is too high

2. Or that people really have come that close to someone infected.

And as the new infection rate before freedom day was 50k a day, the latter is far more likely.

Thinking the solution to the pingdemic is dealing with problem 1 will mean if it is two, then more people will become infected, but just not told about it.

And more people will be infected, then not told, so go on to infect more people.

Brilliant.
