How bad

The question to ask, really, is; how bad would Brexit have to be for the Government and Brexiteers to admit it?

The answer is that whether Brexit is good or bad, either will proove the need for Brexit.

If successful, then Brexit was the right thing to do.

If fails, then leaving the bullying EU was the right thing to do. Any failures in Brexit is seen as punishment by the EU rather than a failure to plan or even has basic understanding of what Brexit, or part thereof, entailed.

COVID makes it simplier to assign blame away from Brexit, the Government or those in Vote Leave.

And the fall will be slow, slow enough for people to notice, rather like the animals at the end of Animal Farm when they look at the promise for "adequate food" and think they remember some other promises made at the beginning.

THings will get slowly worse, not a dramatic ciff fall, but worse, more expensive and we will be forced to accept it because of "sovereignty". Which we always had, and we are now using to make ourselves, as a country, poorer. Some will benefit, as always, but most of us will see our lives poorer, reduced horizons, adequate food, watching Government endorsed circuses, to divert our attention.

We might even realise, but it will be too late.
