Playing chicken

Over three weeks after the pingdemic was supposed to have been fixed by turning the track and trace app down its sensitivity, shortages are getting worse.

Building materials are in very short supply, and those that are avalable have seen a price rise of over 40%.

Shops still have gaps on the shelves, not too bad here, but it is unlike it anywhere else in Europe.

So, the shortage of staff should have been fixed, but isn't.

Turns out the 2,000 military HGV drivers to be drafted into help with deliveries are ALL HGV drivers in the three services.

Uh oh.

And yesterday's news that Nandos and KFC are running out of chicken and closing locations while problems persist, Brexiteers and Ministers are claiming its not down to Brexit, but the British Poultry Councilsaid: “When you don’t have people, you have a problem – and this is something we are seeing across the whole supply chain. The labour crisis is a Brexit issue.”

And fingers point at the BBC for their report which ended with a Nando's spokesperson saying whilst the British branches would close, branches in NI and Ireland have no such issues, and failed to mention the "B" word.
