After a hectic two days, or seemed like it was, we decided to take things easy on Sunday.
Starting with a lie in.
We got up after seven, and after feeding the cats, Jools went swimming. With COVID restrictions easing, there is no need to book for "free" swimming, though there is for the lanes. So, Jools went and had a swim, while I sayed home, got the steak out of the freezer for lunch and had a shower.
It was bright enough for a walk, had we wanted, even if the breeze was keen. But I stayed in, except to fill up the bird feeders.
When Jools came back we had breakfast of fruit and yet another coffee, and then we enter the long stretch of the morning which lasted until lunchtime.
We were to eat at half one, so I zapped the spuds and prepared the mushrooms before cooking and made a batch of creamed spinach.
All ready to go at one.
I bring all the elements together for half one, and we sit down with a bottle of fizz and our full plates, of which the t-bones took nearly half.
And these were the smaller steaks I bought the week before!
But it was glorious, we ate it all bar the bone and gristle, we then drained the bottle of fizz.
A quick washing up and put the stuff away before the football kicked off at two.
Not that good, Leicester dreww 2-2 with West Ham, no idea how the Foxes got level and then took the lead, only to concede in injury time.
Outside the wind howled and thre rain at the back of the house. The badgers got no food as I wasn't going out in that.
The weekend drew to an end at nine.
Phew.
