Boxing Day (unofficial)

It's unofficial as it fell on a weekend this year, and we don't want to lose a Bank Holiday, so the official one is on Monday.

Which is nice.

We were still entertaining Jen. I mean that we were having her stay, not that we were putting on plays of describing current affairs through the medium of modern dance. Though that would be something.

We laid in until quarter to eight, got up after another good night's sleep. Mulder and the other cats had given in trying to wake us, so had just gone back to sleep themselves.

Jools and i have coffee, whilst waiting for Jen to wake up. Then Jools makes breakfast, and Jen packs as she was going home after lunch.

Lunch: the return of the turkey.

The crown wasn't as big as previous years, but would do us fone for a second roast, warmed up in the oven, and I had saved half the pigs in blankets to cook with the turkey. I peel then steam the vegetables, fry the zapped potatoes, and make gravy from the previous day's leftovers.

Only took and hour, but was wonderful, a second Christmas dinner, and with fizz again too.

Three hundred and sixty one After helping wash up, Jen loads the car and leaves, meaning it is just us and the cats again. And being Bank Holiday there is football. Lots of football.

I watch the end of the Rangers game.

Then Villa v Crystal Palace, which was good, but not for Palace, who played against ten men for nearly an hour and still lost. 3-0.

The Arsenal played Chelski off the pitch winning 3-1, but should have been more.

And fnally Norwich played at Watford, but was a disappointment, losing 1-0, though neither team played that well, and City had a clear penaly denied.

Sigh.

I think we play again on Monday or Tuesday, and again on Saturday, so a quick turnround, and as it was ten, dark, and time for bed.
