Words fail me

It seems the Government is going to force a new relations with the EU on the country, mandating new border infrastructure, but is unwilling to pay for it.

In the most astonishing piece of news today, though it is still early evening, is that Dover requested £33,000,000 from a port fund to help create lanes and other works to double the capacity of French immigration checks.

The Government has allocated just £33,000 to Dover!

That is not a typo, just thirty three grand.

The queues at peak holiday times will be incredible.

As a town, Dover did vote for Brexit. But think of the new oportunities, think of the traffic jams in the summer, the fumes, not being able to travel.

It'll be great.
