The clown speaks

As Johnson was making a statement to the Commons that he and the leaders of the devolved administrations had agreed not to change the law and were aligned, one by one each country other than England tightened its guidance on the "Christmas bubble".

And then Starmer ripped him to shreds in PMQs, and Johnson's preprepared adlibs were on another subject other than Cummings' 40% pay rise when most of the public sector had suffered a pay freeze, while many of them risked their lives on a daily basis.

But we're in this together, apparently.

He blustered but could not explain how the UK has faired so badly, so many people infected and died and the economy has taken such a hit.

His dithering and delay part explains the latter, as every day of delay causes more to be infected and more to die. Literally a direct and immidiate link showing how policies affect, or end, ordinary people's lives.

So, we, as a country, are going to have a party for five days, with Johnson appealing to our common sense to not take the piss, like he has all his life. There needs to be clear and direct leadership and information from Government on this. Instead we have Coco the Clown and his three ringed cabinet.

Stay safe.
