A Conservative MP said in an interview this morning that Truss has 12 hours to save her job as PM.

Liz Truss is not going to transform into either Thatcher or a butterfly in 12 hours.

Her crime is being Liz Truss. That is also her punishment.

Liz Truss was always this way.

Being PM does not give you powers of leadership and communication, you have to have them already.

She is the pork markets and jam lady.

MPs have worked alongside Truss since she became an MP in 2010. She has been a minister for a decade.

And yet, they voted her to be one of the two MPs to go to the membership vote to be leader.

The Conservative Party, allowed all this to happen, even though they must have dirt on all MPs and Ministers, enough to get people to drop out. And yet they allowed the leadership contest to descend into name calling and worse, which then left Truss as the winner.

As Truss had been allowed to be portrayed as some kind of genius in negotiating trade deals, even if most were just rollovers, and the new ones she did get were at ruinous costs to UK interests, just to say such a deal had been done.

So, she was allowed to claim something she wasn't.

And then she became PM.

And last night happened.

A simple vote on fracking that no 0ne other than JRM seems to want.

This is who Truss is.

The longer she stays, the better for Labour, but a disater for the country.
