And it was all going so well

I thought Liz Truss did OK in PMQs today.

I mean, it's Liz Truss and expectations were never that high, but she came out with oneliners. OK, the same oneliners, and Starmer landed some good jibes to start with, but that should have secured her job at least to the weekend.

And then there was the fracking vote.

Ed "chaos" Milliband, st a trap.

Hung a big neon sign above it saying, "beware of the trap".

All Truss, her whips and party had to do was not make it a vote of confidence matter and enforce a three line whip.

THey made it a confidence matter. On the subect that most effect Conservative voting areas: fracking.

MPs were caught in keeping the whip and jobs on committees or breaking a 2019 Conservative manifesto commitment.

MPs were furious.

Then a junior Minister might have said it was no longer a confidence vote.

But this wan't true.

It was chaos. The Deputy PM, the Buisness Secretaty (JRM) were literally pushing people into the Goverment lobby.

The Chief Whip was either sacked or resigned. In the lobby.

So did the Depuy Chief Whip.

The Prime Minister, Liz Truss, failed to vote in a confidence vote on the Government of Liz Truss. Liz Truss must now remove the whip from rebel PM, Liz Truss.

Earlier, the Home Secretary was either sacked or made to resign.

Now there are accusations of bullying in the lobby, and investigations are ongoing.

It was all avoidable.

But then, these are not clever, sorry, wise people.

I don not think she'll be PM by morning.

THis has been wild.
