Where are we now?

In short, I have no idea.

It seems most likely now that May is trying to run the clock down to leave Parliament with a Hobson's choice in relation to Brexit.

Let us be honest here, there is just over sex weeks to go before Brexit. The WA needs ratifying by the UK and the EU Council, if one of those fails to happen, no WA, no deal or no Brexit.

I have been over the three choices that Parliament has, and that has not changed. Unless the UK asks the EU27 for an extension, but the later it is left and the worse the excuses, the less likely that all 27 countries would agree. It would just take one of them to veto the idea to mean a no deal.

Listening to May in the House today, and MPs responses, you would think they had two years to go before Brexit, not 46 days.

Meanwhile the US agri trade body has set out their demands for a trade deal with the UK, chlorinated chicken and hormone injected beef. If this comes to pass, then it would demand a hard border with the EU, including Ireland because of the chance such goods getting into the EU's food chain. Not that Brexiteers care about that or what sub-standard food will do to the population of UK farming industry.

Remember, the default position is that the UK will leave the EU without a deal unless something else happens and is agreed.
