All so predictable

Last night, Johnson announced to the nation that the June final unlocking might not happen due to the Indian variant.

What he didn't way, of course, that it is all his fault its here in the numbers and surging through London and Oldham.

In order to butter up the Indian PM, Mr Modi, India wasn't placed on the red list for travel, for two weeks later than neighbouring countries.

Thounsands of travellers poured into the UK, more the the three and a half day notice for the need for quaratine was announced.

People came in, carring it, spreading it, not its highly infectious and, well, no one knows how this ends, but the fact it was avoidable is clear.

Nothing is said on the front pages as to his blame for this, just lament for pubs not opening and holidays tot he sun at risk. Apparently, 150,000 deaths isn't enough to bring adverse headlines.

The vaccine has been a glrious success, but that alone wasn't enough to defeat COVID, now we shall see how this pans out.

We are still not changing how we act; keeping ourselves to ourselves, wearing masks and looking after our community.

Further easing of lockdowns is going ahead as planned on Monday, apparently against SAGE's advice. And with arguments about it in cabinet.
