Next phase, new wave, it's still COVID to me

I checked on the UK infections yesterday.

Are you ready for this?

Nearly 400,000 fresh infections in the last seven days, with a rolling 7 day average increase of 56.3%. And remember at the end of the month, we are expected t pay for our own tests.

This is not over yet.

If the Government isn't going to track infections, how are they going to track new waves, if this is a new wave that we're already seeing.

Having accurate date allows for good planning, just pretending there isn't a problem isn't goo enough.

We had our booster jabs on November 19th, meaning that was five months ago, and that protection offered by the booster is now waning. Rapidly. We have got used to thinking because we're jabbed, we're safe. This is not true, protection from vaccines is reduced month on month, and it is in older age groups that the largest infection rates are being seen.

I mean, who'd have thought that a surge in infections would come from dropping all mitigations and protections? Newspapers claim experts are perplexed as to where the surge has come from. I bet they know exactly how the surge has come from.

Few are talking of COVID now as there's a war on, fewer are talking about Partygate either, but they're still active issues, one of which might kill many of us.

But carry on regardless.
