Monday Brexit

Monday morning.

And forces are moving into place for the battle of the 5 armies. Or the 2nd MV as May calls it.

It is highly likely that she will lose the vote, and if and when that happens, no one can say with any certainty as to what happens after that.

One thing that is possible is the UK, through Parliament, is to request an extension to A50. Papers are reporting this morning that the EU might be charging a £1billion a month for such a request. This is from a side, if you believe the Brexiteers, that needs us more than they need them and have the weaker hand!

Party politics are more in play, rather than doing what is best for the country. Not that Brexiteers would admit that anything else other than the hardest of Brexit is what is best for Britain. But \parliament need to accept the forecasts from DExEU, the Treasury and the Bank of England, all that say any kind of Brexit will lead to a recession, the harder ones a depression, and act accordingly.

But Brexiteers and Leavers are still rallying against the WA, and will vote against it on Tuesday. This is despite the Government trying to bribe MPs with a cash windfall for the poorest of areas. But as it turns out, this bribe is just 10% of the money the EU would have provided had we remained.

The question really is, will the EU agree to an extension, if so, not on just the cost, but what if it seems that UK is politically locked on what to do, and the delay could just go on an on. A delay of two months or more would require EU elections taking place in the UK, which could see UKIP landing more MPs and exporting more of the Brexit cancer to the EU Parliament.
