The wheels come off

As I write this, the local elections results are coming in, and Labour and Conservatives are being hammered.

Tories down 355 seats and Labour down 74 with less than 100 out of 248 councils declared.

And Labour says it is losing seats because of Brexit, not because it backs a referendum, but because it is not backing hard Brexit strongly enough.

If senior MPs cannot see why they are failing at the ballot box, then there really is no hope for them.

In three weeks we will be looking at the EU election results, with Nigel's "party", I say "party" like that as it has no actual members and is hiding its funding by using PayPal donations, and all are below the level one has to be declared. The money could come from anywhere. Anyway, I digress, polls indicate that his new party is polling what UKIP did in the last elections, no increase at all,a nd yet he gets the majority of media time.

Go figure.

Inbetween then and the EUs, there is to be a by-election for the Labour MPs who got sent to prison who got recalled by her electorate, and that will be the real acid test on how anti Brexit people really are.
