This morning, Dominic Cummings had a brief word in regard to the other Dominic, Grieve, regarding a potential MPs action to stop no deal Brexit.
"We'll see what Mr Grieve is right about"
Also he said:
“politicians don’t get to choose what votes they respect”
Which is interesting, as MPs literally write laws, so if there is a law or vote they don't respect, they can change it. Or, if this is about the advisory referendum of 2016, the enabling act clearly states that if MPs think leaving is a bad idea, they can stop it.
The promise to leave the EU as a result of the referendum was a political promise by Cameron, May and Corbyn. Not legally binding. Politically it is somewhat different.
But we can see the battle lines being drawn.
Its a bit odd as Parliament isn't sitting, but whether factions are talking and planning during the recess is something we will have to say. But so far as propaganda is concerned, only the Government is speaking openly at the moment, and most of it is mis-direction. Or lies.
