OK, one last thing

The UK is not prepared for no deal. I mean, the PM himslef last week said the cances of no deal were a million to one.

So why bother?

And having prepared twice for no deals and one didn't come, so this one will too?

So, why did the Government free up two and a half billion quid for no reason?

Because, in the past, planning for a bad outcome of Brexit was labelled as "Project Fear".

I mean, how many customs and immigration offices can you source and train in 90 days?

And then there is the millennium bug.

The Y2K wasn't a problem, so Brexit won't be.

Yes, that,s a good comparison. I mean, comparing two unrelated events, and because one went well, so will the other.

Brilliant.

Only, billions were spent, hundreds of millions of manhours spent in ensuring there was no problem. And that was just for one day.

On January 1st 2000, everything work, so the world went on as normal.

On November 1st 2019, even with lots of preparation, things will not go back to normal. The UK will be a third country, there will be hard borders between the UK and EU, there will be red tape, and avalanche of red tape, and queues, lots of queues.

This will not stop. This will be the new normal.

For years.

It cannot be reversed.

Quickly, at least.

No amount of preparation lasting 90 days will be any good.

And saying there will be no issues, or the Irish Border is a red herring, doesn't stop it from being a problem. THE problem.

It just delays it until the UK leaves, then deal with the same problem, but with added economic meltdown.

The lack of planing is the key issue here. Not just for October 31st, but for all of Brexit, by the leading Brexiteers, who are mostly now in the Cabinet.

Sadly, they sacked many of the people who they needed to help wth planning because they were not true believers.

So, there you have it; instead of Sir Ivan Rogers, we have Domonic Raab; what could possibly go wrong?
