60 days

With 60 days to go, May fiddles while the EU prepares.

Or something like that.

So, with time ticking down, May has spent the weekend negotiating with the Brextremists on getting them onside to back a plan that isn't even on the table. I can't begin to stress how pointless and reckless this is.

As talk of ending or trying to amend the backstop will only harden Ireland's and the EU's resolve to keep it. As it is, the UK Government and Parliament have already agreed to the backstop, so to try to back out now looks, well, so amateurish.

Boris was quoted in the Torygraph, where else? Stating that May should keep on trying to scrap the backstop. Why? The EU will never agree to it, and as I said yesterday, the viciousness in which the backstop is being attacked shows just how far away any alternative solutions are.

The Express leads with if MPs vote against May's WA then the UK might be stuck in the EU forever, like this is a bad thing. While for the 3rd day in a row, the Mail fails to lead on a Brexit deal, showing how bad things are going.

And remember, if Brexit does happen, the donkeys who failed to secure a thing which they promised on Brexit will be the same who will negotiate the trade deal. Or start to. Or try to start. As the UK doesn't have a clue what it wants.

Madness on stilts.
