Life goes on

Despite all that has been going on, we have to carry on with life. What other choice did we have?

Friday afternoon, Jools had arranged for a ton of horse manure to be delivered, seemed no point in cancelling that, so the truck arrived and dropped a ton of shit on our drive, we then spent two hours shoveling shit into the barrow and mulching the garden.

I took regular breaks through my back, but even still having moved over half the midden, there was plenty to do. It had been tipped onto a tarp, so we dragged that under the car port as darkness fell, before heading into Deal to get out of the house, and to have dinner.

We had missed lunch, so as soon as we were in town we went straight into the chippy where we both ordered; skate for me and cod for Jools. We sat at a table near the window, looking at people going about their every day business.

We both had some shopping to do, so we split up, and I went to No Name Shop for some stinky French cheese, we then met up at a new record shop where I bought the first PSB album, and I just managed to resist the beer they had in offer too.

Twenty five Back home we had a coffee, then there was cup football to watch, Arse v Man Utd, and Utd deserved to win.

Yesterday, we went to Tesco first thing, back home to have bacon butties for breakfast before meeting at Jen's for the drive up to London.

In the evening, we met Brady and his girlfriend, Rosie, for dinner at The Swingate. At least for us its not a long drive there, and the food and place is fabulous.

It was good to talk about something else other than the events of the previous 18 hours, and even laugh. Curry, and to be able to share our choices is great, and our laughs mixed in with the celebration cheers from the nearby tables.

Jools drove us home in the pouring rain, getting back just before nine.

I have no idea what day it is, or what we will do tomorrow, but we will have to do something.
