It is funny, or would be if it were not so serious, to see when it is explained to them that their no tariffs or non-tariff barriers plan that they plan to enact at Dover would mean having to let in good from all countries in the WTO under the "most favoured nation" rule.
And that such a plan would mean would be no queues in Calais but queues on the UK side of the Channel would be unaffected.
And that the news that May's WA might now be supported by both the ERG and DUP if the backstop is time limited. So far, so good. Only that that option is not on offer. The backstop is part of th WA and that is not up for renegotiation, as in the EU's views, UK has already agreed to it.
Tuesday sees the next MV, so there will be a lot of political deals and bonkers statements made in tomorrow's paper and political shows.
And all the while the clock continues to tick.
