So, May's plan B was, as predicted here, plan A.
The only real changes was dropping the £67 charge for EU citizens to remain in their homes.
She did say one thing of truth though, in addressing Parliament she pointed out that as they voted against her negotiated WA and are against a no deal outcome, then the only choice left to Parliament is no Brexit.
This is a pretty good reading of the situation, as both a 2nd referendum and an election would require an extension to A50, something that the EU27 would all have to grant a request for.
Brexiteers are coming round to the realisation that for a Brexit to happen, it will have to be the WA after all, and more might support it if it is to be represented to The House. But even then the numbers still against would make it fail.
Meanwhile Labour have a plan: renegotiate the WA and have closer links to the EU, a SM and access to the "internal market". Sounds quite cakey, and there is no indication that the EU would consider reopening the WA even for a new leader. There isn't time, anyway.
So, as time continues to tick down, we as a country are no further forward, other than the papers today trumpeting civil unrest if a 2nd referendum happens. The country is in one heck of a mess, and there is no way out if a democratic way out is branded by The Government and a press as undemocratic.
