Carry on lying

Liz Truss said yesterday that any undocumented migrants arriving on a plane can call a lawyer to get to stay in the UK. Only, no airline would carry anyone without documentation. If they did they would be liable for costs.

So, lie #1.

And then said that women were being disproportionately imprisoned through failing to pay the TV licence fee.

Figures show NO women have been imprisoned for such offences.

Truss is the equalities Minister, among other portfolios, so you would have thought she would know.

Or was just trying the Johnson tactic of lying to suit the occasion.

Meanwhile, the Attourney Geneneral suggested the Bank of England is to blame for inflation, and is maybe too independent. That was the reason Gordon Brown made it thus, to separate it from the Government.

And the forgotten man, Rishi suggested he invented the concept of free ports, which if correct was three years before he was born.
