Imagine that

Today, the UK Government sent another strongly worded letter to the EU after finding that after demanding that the UK be treated as a third country only to find that as a third country, the UK is out of the EU and unable to influence EU policy.

Well.

The UK is "disappointed" that the live exports of live shellfish from waters where the leanliness rating is anything less than perfect has now been banned by the EU.

Apparently, this is another one of those tariff barriers that Johnson says does not exist.

Anyway, shellfish from the West Country and Yorkshire fall foul of this, there is lettle chance of this being reversed for the UK, as the EU would have to then apply it to all similar third countries under the Most Favoured Nations regulations.

Just like I said in posts passum.

Sigh.

Remind me again as to why we even thought this would be a good idea?

Or as Michael Gove might say, I think you'll find the UK has had enough of exports.
