So says the man who agreed to a border down the Irish Sea

Boris Johnson has vowed to "do everything we need to do" - including an attempt to override post-Brexit arrangements with the EU - in order to "ensure there is no barrier down the Irish Sea".

If there is one thing our parents told us to do, was to read the small print.

Or if you're going to railroad through Parliament, two of the most important pieces of legislation on the UK's relationship with the rest of Europe to avoid scrutiny, best you at least read it.

Sadly, it appears Johnson really hasn't.

Or that he just lies every time he opens his mouth.

There will be no border down the Irish Sea he said.

If someone asks to fill out any new forms, he told NI business leaders last year, send them to me.

There'll be no new border infrastructure in NI he said as he was passing funding for new border infrastructure.

The problems NI trade is seeing is not as a result of the EU being unreasonable, but as a result of the very over ready deal he himself negotiated.

But the chance to blame it all on someone else could not be passed up.

This evening Gove has issued a list of ultimatums to be agreed by the EU by end of Friday.

THis is the Brexit Johnsone wanted, he took it to the country and was elected on the back of it. Now it turns out to be shit, he wants out.

Johnson needs to own Brexit and his oven ready deal.
