Sunday COVID

Today, we learned that New Zealand's largest city, Auckland, is to lock down for five days after a family of three was found to be suffering from COVID. This will allow for large scale testing in the area to see if an outbreak is under way.

These are the first such infections this month.

In the UK yesterday, there were 13,013 new cases in the UK reported.

Pressure from the headbangers in the CRG, the ERG rebranded, is pushing for a firm commitment by the Government for all COVID measures to be removed by the end of April.

Johnson is currently battling public health, SAGE, reality and his own backbenchers.

None of this is going to end well.

But it does show that in trying to keep everyone happy, like in Brexit, he will disappoint everyone. But with COVID thousands of more people are risked with being infected and dying.

Meanwhile, the Chancellor is complaining that scientists keep moving the goalposts in lockdowns. Thing is, as evidence becomes available, you have to adapt your actions. Science never has dealt in absolute truths, just theories until more evidence becomes available, which either inforces your intial theory and actiosn, or means you have to adapt.

I would happily go without pubs, restaurants and a summer holiday if it means thousands of more people will live beyond April, other see each life with a value, and some are worth less.
