All yesterday's parties

On Sunday, the Government is going to try to get the new agenda to "move on" from partygate.

That was the plan.

Until about an hour ago when news of another party.

Two parties. That took place on 16th April 2021. The Even of the fineral of the Duke of Edinburgh.

Photos of the socially distanced Queen, in Westmnster Abbey, alone, mourning her lost husband without the support of her family, because they were the rules at the time.

Less than 24 hours before, the PM's own Head of Commincations had a leaving party, for which he has officially appologised for. So whe know it happened. There were speeches. There were drinks. Laws were broken.

News on Sue Grey's inquiry is that:

"Sue Gray's inquiry not expected to find evidence of criminality over No 10 parties

But she is considering censuring PM for his lack of judgement

She will castigate No 10 drinking culture

Aides & officials will face disciplinary proceedings"

I don't think the public will accept that, not now. And with the latest revealations I don't think polity will either.

We shall see.

A Minister speaking ff the record says that the game is up now.

Let us hope so before any more damage is done.
