Long COVID

Today, the Office for National Statistics (ONS) publushed data on so called Long Covid.

1,300,000 of people in the UK are reporting suffering from various conditions.

64% said it affected their daily activities, while 20% said it did do "a lot".

Some studies says that 10% of all COVID patients go on to have long term symptoms, while others suggest up to 35% will.

Fatigue continued to be the most common symptom reported in people experiencing long COVID (51%), followed by loss of smell (37%), shortness of breath (36%), and difficulty concentrating (28%).

Data was collected from 351,850 responses.

So, letting the virus rip through the population to save the economy will probably cost much more in the long run.

Well.

Simple solutions to complex problems are usually wrong. See also Brexit.
