COVID update

On Wednesday there were 398 deaths, and on Thursday 335.

This is the expected shurcg due to no lockdowns in December as Johnson delyed and dithered.

Meanwhile infections seem to be falling steeply, down to 109,133 yesterday, but wth the proviso that testing kit is still hard to come by, so that an unknown number of cases is not being confirmed. Jools has got a box of LFT being delivered, which means she can continue to go into work beyond next week. Her employer cannot get kits ether for staff, so is at the mercy of availability for individuals.

Deputy chief medical officer, Jonathan Van Tam resigned yesterday from his post, coming just 24 hours after Johnson admitted the party in the Downing Street garden.

We are off to London tomorrow, to visit Tate Modern, but will be careful as we travel and will be masked when indoors or on trains.

Finally, the Metropolitan Police has again declined to investigate parties at Downing Street due to "lack of evidence", despite photos, invitations and Johnson's confession is unbelieveable. It is something you would expect in a Banana Republic.

Johnson declines to enforce the Ministerial Code on Priti Patel despite allegations of bullying having been confirmed by the Standards Regulator. Patel declines to remove the head of the Metroplital Police despite evidence of many cases where Dick fell short of the stands expected, and now Dick declines to investigate clear law breaking by the Prime Minister.

All looking after each other.
