For the last two days I have been ending blogs on the partygate issue for Johnson with the line:
"For God's sake, go man"
Not realising where it came from. Turns out it was what Churchill said to Chamberlain. Might be older and came from Cromwell.
But hey.
But at the end of today's PMQs which started with a Conservatve MP defecting to Labour and walking across the House to the Opposition benches, ended with David Davies sayiing the above quote and imploring Johnson to resign.
This is what counts as Tory Grandee these days. But former Minister for Brexit and I guess friend now is calling for the end, the game is up.
But JOhnson is to fight on. For now.
Removing all mask mandates and work from hme rules too next Thursday, the announcement lead to much cheering from the ERG boneheads.
But the end is nigh.
I agree with DD.
