By any means necessary

Under both May and Johnson, the Government has stopped at nothing to get its way, sidestepping the usual procedures and conventions that underpin British politics.

The latest is another attempt to get The Speaker sacked.

Bercow has bent the rules to level the playing field after the Government played loose with the rules on stopping Parliamentary debate on the once great withdrawal bill.

The Speaker's role is to protect Parliament, not to facilitate the Government, not one which has, literally, shown Parliament contempt.

It is a convention that the Speaker is elected in General Elections unopposed. Let alone once in the job.

And Bercow was a Conservative, and for the second time Tories are looking to unseat him.

That Andrea Loathesome is behind this means, hopefully, it stands little chance of success as she is thick as two short planks. But nasty.
