Your Saturday crisis

It is Saturday, we have just got back from a day's churchcrawling, and the main item on the news is that the Prime Minister of the UK might not obey the law.

This is where were are, as a country.

That this was reported so matter-of-factly by the BBC shows how poorly they are serving the country. This is the most sensational piece of constitutional news since the Glorious Revolution. A breakdown in constitutional normality that I find it had to see we will ever get back from.

If Parliament passes a law, which it will on Monday, and he, as PM, refuses to go to the EU to request an extension to A50. There is a suggestion that he might not take it to the Queen for royal assent either.

What should happen is that Alexander de Piffel Johnson should up in chains and locked in the Tower of London.

This is not normal, not for a Western democracy.

The fear is what could be next, in this "new normal", when lying is the base response of the Prime Minister, and the media just ignore it. Trump might be funny to us, but he is locking children up in camps and some are dying. Its not funny to them. And here, people who have lived and work in the UK for decades, if not their whole lives, are being denied the right to live here, saying paying a lifetime of tax is not now enough.

Well, fuck Boris, fuck Brexit. I want my fucking fair fucking country back.
