A hard winter ahead

Yesterday, daily infection deaths reached nearly 50,000, and today deaths reached their highest levels since March this year with 223 dying falling in the Government's restrictive definition.

Of all the infections recorded on the planet yesterday, 20% were recorded in UK.

Think about that.

The reason?

Well, te almost total failure to enforce a mask mandate in the reopening of pubs, clubs and restaurants. And nightclubs, not to mention schools reopening in September with almost no mitigation measures in place, with infections of the below 16s now reaching record levels.

And this is hardly mentioned any more. I look at the daily figures, not sure if many other people do.

As with Brexit, it feels like the world has gone mad and I'm the only sane one.

Sigh.
