Liars are gonna lie

Whatever you hear a Government minister or Prime Minster say, The Government's Internal Market Bill (IMB) does not protect the GFA or the island of Ireland.

The Northern Ireland-Irialnd Protocol does that.

The Gvernment is asking Parliament for permission to break both domestic and international law.

And not in limited and/or specific ways, but in a wide range of policy areas.

President Elect Biden has Northern Ireland/Ireland on his radar and has warned Johnson, as have other leading Democrats. Sending Dominic Raab to mansplain border protocol with people who are heavily invested in the Peace Process isn't a good look. Biden understands Ireland better than almost any English politician.

And Biden will remember that Johnson accused Obama of being anti-British because of his Kenyan heritage. That will not be forgotten. Not in Congress or the House of Representatives. Nor in the Oval Office once the squatter is evicted.

The actions of the House of Lords this week, and how Johnson follows up on that will be telling, Kohnson has gambled and lost many times, will her bet the house, again, that the US and EU won't act?

Picking a fight with one potential global trade partner is one thing, but to do it with a second is folly on a grand scale, and at the same time shows the UK, and Johnson and his Government and Party cannot be trusted to keep their word.

No matter how hard Raab tried to understand and explain it. You might remember that the same Mr Raab announced he was surpised to find, after extensive research, to find that Calais and France were so close to Dover and how important that route was for trade.
