The Sunday papers are full of little else other than the "civil war" inside Downing Street.
I put the italics because, this is the most crucial week of the Brexit process thus far, when a deal, if there has to be one, is agreed and the ratification process must start.
Over 50,000 people have died from COVID and the country is nearly halfway through a four week lockdown and attention is drawn by the Cummings/Johnson relationship.
If half the leaks are to be believed, then Cummings has been the defacto PM, deciding on policies and direction of the Government. If only a fraction of this is true, then it paints an even poorer picture of JOhnson than we can imagine. And this shell of a politician has to now sort out Downing Street, Sort economic Brexit and COVID, at the same time.
I am frankly amazed he puts his trousers on each morning.
Cummings still has his Downing Street pass, has offered no letter of resignation nor received a letter of termination.
He is to continue working on "operation moonshot" for at least a month, and apparently, not even has the bandwidth to do that and other tasks.
I was hoping to have a break from Brexit and COVID this weekend, I know both are critical issues, but next week will have more than enough to write about.
So, enjoy your Sunday, here there will be torrential rain, gales and possible floods.
It is a day for watching football.
