Brexit v COVID

The Government and JOhnson is always telling us how well the country has done under tham in regard to vaccinations.

But there is a literal cost of that:

UK pays £24 for one Moderna dose. EU pays £13

UK pays £15 for one Pfizer dose. EU pays £10.60

AZ in UK is £2.17 per dose.

In EU it’s £2.15

The United Kingdom of Brexit, taking back control.

The UK chose not to take part in the EU's procurement of the vaccines, and although it got larger amounts earlier, the cost has been atronomical. Still its easy spending other people's money.

Whatever advantage the UK had in larger quanities of vaccines, has been lost in the long term, and as you came seem for some vaccones, the UK pays double what the EU has done.

I have been tracking the infections through the summer and into autumn, where between 30,000 and 40,000 have been the normal, and rates the Government seem to think is acceptable.

I can remember then the R rate being over 1 was a cause for alarm, it's now between 3 and 4, infections are mushrooming, today 54,000 new infections,a nd the hospitalisation and deaths are now beginning to rise following the time lag that data always has from infections.

The Government is mired in corruption and crisis of its own making, while the fourth wave of COVID is upon us.
