Nothing learned

On Friday March 13th, 2020, some 648 days ago, Dr Michael J Ryan of the WTO said:

"Be fast, have no regrets."

Dr Michael J Ryan says "the greatest error is not to move" and "speed trumps perfection" when it comes to dealing with an outbreak such as #coronavirus.

Despite being too late in taking action on the four previous waves, Johnson is taking a "wait and see" course this time, just to make sure.

That and not to impose restrictions over Christmas.

Remember his saving Christmas last year cost tens of thousands of lives, and this will be the same.

By the time it is clear action should be taken, it will be too late.

Too late the mornon.

Johnson is hoping the virus will also take a break for Christmas.

It won't.

Infections are steady around 90,000 per day at the moment, but how much is down to a shortage of testing kits, appointments and people having deleted the app, who knows.

Detected or not, the virus is rampaging through the country, the health service just days away from collapse.

And the backbenchers and JRM and Esther McVey are congratulating themselves for being cleverer than their scientific experts.

We are so fucked.
