Another huge day

Today, the EU27 are having another special summit meeting, during which they will discuss May's request to extend A50 until the end of June.

This will almost certainly be rejected, and instead be offered an extension at least to the end of the year.

May will have to take it.

Then it will be a race to see if domestic legislation can be changed in time.

Before May went on her begging tour to Berlin and Paris, "leader of the House", Andrea Leadsome gave her opinion that May should ask for the backstop to be reopened. Thus confirming she is as thick as dog shit, and no matter how bad May is, Leadsome as PM would be a fucking disaster. So, Leadsome has shown that nearly 17 months of discussions about the WA, she has learned nothing.

At all.

I cannot book travel for next week, even though it is is important to the project I should, as I don't know if a visa is required to enable to be anything more than a tourist. A real effect of Brexit.

No matter if there is an extension or not, the choice for May, her Government, Parliament and the nation is stark and simple: the WA, no deal or no Brexit.

Kicking the can down the road forever will not change this choice.
