After her marathon Cabinet meeting, May emerged to announce she was going to ask for an extension to the extension.
But not that long.
The trap here being that if the UK remains in the EU beyond the 23rd May, then EU elections must be held. So, if EU elections are not held, then there would be a stark choice between the WA and no deal.
May is reaching out to Labour to see if Corbyn will back her, this blaming him for any potential failure.
I mean, what could go wrong?
The EU still doesn't know what the UK wants, and clearly neither does the UK. So, no change.
Brexiteers see this as a betrayal of pure Brexit, while most see this as a trap for remainers.
Meanwhile, the clock ticks down.
Tomorrow, the Commons is back in charge of the order paper, so, more IVs?
Quite possibly.
